Mike Henry is an actor, writer, producer, director, and comedian whose work has helped define modern animated television comedy for the last three decades. Best known as one of the creative forces behind Family Guy, Mike has served as a writer, producer, and series regular since the show's early years, becoming one of the key architects behind its unmistakable voice, rapid-fire humor, and iconic cutaway style.

Alongside his extensive work behind the scenes, he created and voiced some of the series' most recognizable and enduring characters, including Cleveland Brown, Herbert, Bruce, Consuela, and the Greased-Up Deaf Guy. Mike later co-created and starred in The Cleveland Show, the Emmy-nominated Family Guy spin-off centered around the beloved Cleveland Brown character.

Born in Pontiac, Michigan and raised in Richmond, Virginia alongside his brother and longtime creative collaborator Patrick Henry, Mike graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1988, where he served as class president for his final three years and was rushed chairman of SAE fraternity. After a brief stint in advertising, he left corporate life behind and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his passion — comedy.

Following years of stand-up and improvisational comedy, Mike returned to Virginia to independently create short comedy films with his brother Patrick. During this period he was introduced to fellow RISD student Seth MacFarlane, beginning a creative partnership and friendship that would later become central to the success of Family Guy.

When Family Guy launched, Mike quickly became one of the show's most important creative contributors. His work spans close to 500 episodes across writing rooms, voice sessions, story development, and production.

Beyond Family Guy and The Cleveland Show, Mike's career spans film and television, including roles in The Orville and Ted, as well as continued voice work on American Dad. He hosts The Mike Henry Show podcast and recently launched CrosseyedTV.
